This Article contains an overview of how to enable your mobile phone to receive SMS messages regarding alerts (ex: speeding, harsh driving events) from our Fleet Motion application. Please be sure to set up alerts in your Fleet Motion application. How to set up alerts can be found here.
Step 1: ensure your mobile number is added to the User Profile in Fleet Motion. A notification will pop up that a text message has been sent to confirm the phone number.
Step 2: from your mobile device go to text messages and click the link to confirm your mobile number.
Step 3: a confirmation page will display that your phone number has confirmed.
Note: any mobile number not confirmed in the Fleet Motion User Profile will have a red notification indicating the phone number is unconfirmed and the User has not completed Step 2.
If the User does not have the text message on their mobile device, simply delete the mobile number from the User Profile in Fleet Motion and save the profile without the mobile number. Then go back into the User Profile and add the number to the User Profile again to start the process over.
