Sleep Cycles in Vehicles after Installing a BCI or AP4

When adding features to a factory radio using a BCI or AP4, follow the steps below. Most of the time TWO sleep cycles will be required in order for the factory radio to accept the feature programming.

Completing a sleep cycle

Make sure the vehicle ignition is off. Close all doors, trunk and/or tailgate, lock the vehicle with the keyfob. Move the key AT LEAST 15 feet away from the vehicle and let it sit for at least 15-20 minutes.

To wake the vehicle back up, unlock the doors, turn on the ignition, and wait for the radio to come on.
